The company actively participated in recent Dubai Design Week, featuring prominently at the Downtown Design fair and hosting engaging events at its Dubai office.

Dubai Design Week, a global celebration of design innovation, provided the perfect stage for Porcelanosa to showcase its cutting-edge products and engage with the Middle East design community. The event, featuring a variety of activities and the renowned Downtown Design fair, marked a significant moment for Porcelanosa’s participation in the vibrant design scene.

A focal point for design enthusiasts, Dubai Design Week encompasses a diverse range of events, installations, exhibitions, talks, and workshops. It serves as a melting pot for designers worldwide, fostering dialogue and showcasing the positive impact of design across different disciplines.

Downtown Design: A Hub for Global Design

The festival’s highlight, Downtown Design, is a leading design fair in the Middle East, attracting renowned brands, independent designers, and creatives. This anchor event of Dubai Design Week, which celebrated its 10th edition in 2023, featured over 300 international brands and designers. Porcelanosa’s presence at the fair marked a pivotal moment, with its stand located in the Interiors of Spain pavilion.

However, the company’s participation in Dubai Design Week was not just limited to the exhibition; special events at the Porcelanosa Dubai office added an extra layer of engagement.

The company hosted a series of events at its Dubai office, creating a unique platform for interaction. A panel discussion on “Sustainable Practices in Hospitality” brought together four influential figures in the industry: Marta González F., Director of Interior Design at Accor; Laura Bielecki, Associate Director of Interior Design at Nakheel; Mennah Darwish, Design Manager at Select Group UAE; and Diane Thorsen, Design Director at Gensler.

The diverse events also included a Spanish-themed lunch with prominent regional designers, and a workshop involving a total of forty design students from three different universities: Heriot-Watt, Istituto Marangoni and the University of Sharjah. Both events showcased Porcelanosa’s commitment to fostering connections with renowned designers and emerging talent.
