From November 9th to 14th, Porcelanosa Dubai took part as a virtual participant in the Dubai Downtown Design Fair, one of the Asian continent’s top design events.
Downtown Design is the region’s leading design show for the top-range design sector, highlighting Dubai’s role as the design capital of the Middle East and gateway to Asia and Africa.
Each November, Downtown Design is the commercial highpoint of Dubai Design Week, gathering together representatives of the regional and international design industry in Dubai. Over 20,000 visitors flock to the event, including the region’s top-tier buyers, from leading architects and interior designers to the design directors of hotel groups and decision-makers like private clients and developers.
At Downtown Design, Porcelanosa Dubai presented two of the latest collections, launched back in February 2020 at Cevisama.
Our associate selected these two collections, the Durango and Fontana series, to highlight their characteristics.
THE DURANGO COLLECTION: A collection inspired by stone and its fossil effects, with wall tiles featuring a choice of three different décors. The floor tiles in the collection form part of the Highker™ large-format range.
THE FONTANA COLLECTION: The tiles in this collection reproduce the glossy natural veins of grey Carrara marble. Thanks to the collection’s long-lasting properties, it can withstand extreme temperatures.
Fontana’s new large 59.6×150 wall tile format is perfect for creating one-of-a-kind seamless surfaces.
As an example of outstanding design, Porcelanosa Dubai also showcased Hotel Me Dubai: the latest architectural project by Zaha Hadid for Noken Porcelanosa Bathrooms.
For this hotel complex from the Meliá chain, a selection of products from PORCELANOSA Group’s bathroom collections were used, contributing to the timeless appeal of architecture based on a duality of solid and empty spaces.
